What do you think Bush would have done re American hostages in Iran?

I see all these criticisms of Carter for the hostage taking at the American emby in Teheran during his administration. What do you think Bush would have done? Would he have been all macho and attacked thereby causing the death of them? Hey at least he could still pretend to be a cowboy.
