Is it funny that the new CBA is working against the Knicks in the Melo situation?

If the CBA in place in the offseason was the same as the current one Melo would have most likely wanted to go to Knicks or the Nuggets would have had to settle for a rental team since Melo would have went New York next summer. However considering he might be rising 5-6 mil a year to sign a contract in offseason, I think Melo is more willing to go to the Nets especially when considering that the Nets will have the financial ets to bring a CP3, Deron Williams, and/or Dwight Howard in 2012 to join Melo and Lopez in Brooklyn.
