Love my workplace, but did I make the right decision?

You bet your *** you made the right decision. First, of course you'll make more money as you work there longer (unless you're in some draconian union environment). As for provision you're doing it. I'm sure you have budgeted for a smaller paycheck without hurting your little ones. As for benefits... I can't say. But the benefits of coming home from your work and not being miserable is pretty good to me.
