Why is it that when you're honest, people will get upset and when you aren't, you have the same problem?

Usually in situations like that people want to believe that everyone is on their side. So in case they ever make signs supporting a cause they would want you there with them ranting and going to jail for the cause. But really the bottom line of it all is the fact that everyone wants the truth but they just can't handle it. Sad as it is. And when you do lie they think that you don't respect them enough to tell them the truth. So its really a no win situation. Also why guys stay mute with women so often, because they know this is a mine field type of thing with women. So its best to be vague or not even acknowledge the question so they can leave you be.
