How could anyone every possibly respect Glen Beck?

So,as I was waiting for my prescription to be filled at my local pharmacy, I sat in their 'waiting area' and fox news was on. I have my qualms about all large scale media foundation and networks, but fox more than any other. Glen Beck was on, and as he was bashing just about every single person he possibly could in a five minute segment, how did that big of a d-bag get his own television talk show. I have had to deal with red-necked conservatives all my life, as I align myself with no party or political view, although I am a radical communist, I believe in utopia. How do I deal with political conversations and try to get on the same plane as someone who might possibly view something that has come out of glen becks mouth more than vulgar and downright bs (if I may say so). Please give me insight on how someone could be so narrow-minded and foolish to believe anything that incomprehensible bumbling moron might say.
