I want to join a foreign army but...?

I want to join the Cambodian army and its hard to explain why. I'm in the US Army future soldier program and thinking twice about it. I'm to ship out in 2 month but getting mixed decision. How would I be able to join the foreign military. This is a hypothetical question that you guys need to express with your knowledge. Am I just confused cause my country going to war with Thailand(right now) and I want to join to help. I would like to join them cause I want to see combat in a military that not too high tech and remind me of the old days of the battlefield. I have loyalty to the US but want to help my other one too. What am i going through please respond.
