Can you feel the speed of a plane on takeoff?

Its also going to depend what type of plane your on. Much like cars, all different planes have different power to weight ratios and therefore accelerate faster or slower than others. So basically your going to feel the G-force more in some types of planes than others. Another thing that contributes to the feeling of the speed is the cabin noise you experience. Planes with under wing engines are generally quieter than planes with fuselage mounted engines, the louder the noise the faster it seems :) Of course, aircraft age will affect the noise it makes aswell. Newer = quieter, older = louder.
